چکیده
Much scholarship has looked at the uses, functions, and originsof proverbs. This study describes form of proverbs in Nuosu, a Tibeto-Burman language spoken southwest China. A preliminary analysisdemonstrates that carefully crafted Nuosu reflectsintricate artistry multiple aesthetic features language,making their memorable transmissible across generations.One unusual feature to surface is frequentnegative polarity. Findings from this provide deeper understandingof language, as well window into linguistic aestheticfeatures shared with languages region beyond. The researchadds our understanding breadth strategies employin order animate discourse.
